The NAEC was established in November of 2001 by 45 local veterinarians who wanted to improve the standard of care on emergencies and critical care cases.  Included among the 45 local veterinarians who founded the NAEC is a Board of Directors who ultimately oversee the NAEC and its functionality.  The NAEC is open when other veterinarians are closed; every night, every weekend and every holiday!
